I'm here...alive

Back from vacay.

DH is still unemployed although he takes a class Aug 1st and must pass a test after to be able to officially start working and earning money. If it works out like it should, it will be a huge financial increase for us, which is great considering we've been taking some savings money from his 6 wks out of work so far.

Going on cycle 6 now.

Works a bitch. Crazy busy.

I'll try to get back into posting. I steer clear of a lot of things these days because I'm just.feeling.down.

Must prepare

We leave for Michigan next Sunday morning for the week. I must figure out what all we're doing so I know what to pack. I just know I'm going to have to buy things so I hope I can squeeze out a litlle shopping money without feeling guilty.

Side note: DH did the last of the official crap for unemployment today. Looks like we'll get his first "paycheck" Wednesday. Totally sucks that it's at least 20% of his weekly pay, but I guess it's something. Still no jobs in the field so he's meeting with BIL's friend who has a bail bonds biz in our town. Just what I wanted him to do. ::eye roll::

DH just got laid off.

EFFFF me!

Fortunately, my step-dad is one of his bosses so he told hm to call their main office Monday b/c there's other companies that have work where they'll probably place him and 4 other people (of the 16 they laid off today). Step-dad said they're hiring him back as soon as stuff opens up.

Let's hope there is an alternative company and that it's local and pays same or more than he's getting now! Wishful thinking, this I know.

Feeling Down

Feeling down these days. I hate my job. It's a good one, but I'm so burned out. I can't move up. I want to do my side business full time. I'm hoping to next year anyway, but I wanted to wait to get back from maternity leave for a month or so before I decided to "stay home with child." Or at least that will be my excuse!

But to do so, I actually have to GET pg! Duh! It's O time, and we've been taking care of things so I REALLY hope this is the right cycle. Please?

I've never been so pissed!

This hotel sales rep I'm using thru work is trying to screw with me. She keeps going back on her word. Screwing shit up. Revising the unsigned contract--because she hasn't given it to me to actually sign. Yet, I had to send a out an invitation to the event since it's NEXT WEEK and then she blindsides me with a $2000 price increase! WTF. My head is killing me now. She just got an earful and is now talking to her boss about bringing down the cost to where they were YESTERDAY. Ugh!

DH works out of state during the week. Well, a couple weeks ago they said the plant didn't need his contracting company anymore (because they are trying to cut expenses) so he was moving back, waiting for his company to relocate him. Our state was the most likely possibility. So he moves back last night all set to go to the office today to see where he's been relocated to. All the open positions require a special pass in which he applied for last week. It's a government-issued card, so guess how long that's going to take? Surprisingly only 2-4 weeks, which means we're shit outta luck for about 2 weeks. Joy. I'm so frickin glad we've been saving up lots of money the past couple of months. I hope we don't use up too much. I just hope they can place him as soon as he gets his card. Effin B.S.
