The itch

So since we're back on track to start TTC in February I can't help but be completely engulfed in everything baby-related. It's sad really. Everytime I go to the store, I want to buy something. Part of me is absolute excitement. The other part is due to the planner in me. I figure I should buy something here and there thinking it'll be less to buy all at once. Sometimes I do. I know it's bad but I really just can't help it. I don't believe it will 'curse' us not to have children. I don't think one has to do with the other. If it really came down to it, then we would adopt. It would happen one day, either way.

So anyway. I need to get back on track with charting. I got off doing it for 2 months when we were thinking about waiting longer to save more money. Not so much looking forward to that. But I will gladly do that in hopes of getting our family sooner! So ONE MORE MONTH....the countdown begins. I'm feeling the itch!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is almost over now but I wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to all! Here's to hoping this is our last Christmas alone and that we either have a little one in our arms or in the oven next year! ;P

At Christmas Eve at my aunt's house that was obviously the topic for discussion. My aunt got all glossy-eyed as the kids opened their gifts, looked at me and said "I wonder if there will be another baby to join us next year." Yes, we'll soon be working on it, but I certainly don't need the pressure-cooker conversations.

Tired beyond words

I slept maybe 20 minutes last night, well this morning while watching a TiVo'd "Bringing Home Baby" waiting on my hair to dry. That's right. I stayed up all night. Partying? No. Studying? No. Playing strip poker? No. Working. Yep, working. I worked late at the office then to only work the entire night at home because I'm on a deadline. Totally blows. I didn't think I'd make it through work today and as the day progresses I think I'm so tired that I'm not. Does that make sense?

In one breath I could totally curl up in the fetal position on my boss's couch in her office and sleep for days. And in the next I spent almost 2 hours at the mall on my lunch break Christmas shopping. Happy as can be! I can't wait until 4:30 though because I'm going home, project completed or not. Eff this.

So this is my first entry on this blog. I had a rather neglected blog for wedding planning where I posted DIY projects, etc, but I really wanted to get back into blogging after reading many of the blogs on BOTB. They seem to be a great outlet for thoughts, happenings and vents. I most certainly can use that! So here it goes. A look into my life. Get ready.
