Busy bee

We have a crawfish boil for work tonight = free food and booze. Then going out for my cousin's birthday.

Tomorrow is Good Friday and I have off. But I need to get our taxes done and have a million things for my side biz that I want to get done. And all of us grandkids are taking my grandma out for lunch.

Saturday we're going to dinner with friends for my birthday and maybe out afterwards. But it also means I have to do the "rounds" with each parent, yada yada. And bring the dogs to the vet.

Sunday is Easter with 2 Easter celebrations to go to. I'm going to be SO TIRED on Monday

Easter

I'm so excited for this Easter. We haven't been doing BIG family events much for holidays the past couple of years. But, my aunt called earlier this week to say they're having an Easter egg hunt next Sunday for all the great grandkids (there's 6 now) and then we'll all have dinner there too.

So I, of course, ran to te nearest Hobby Lobby to get something for the kids. I live vicariously thru my cousins. Anyway, I found a bunch of Easter toys (all half off, I might add) and these little take-out boxes. I'm putting the toys in these since I know they'll all have baskets already. I just finished writing their names on them.

I'll post the finished pics once I get everything in them.

As in food action....you dirty mids, you!

We bought a new dining set for Christmas, but it came in scratched. I got aggravated at the company so didn't reorder another one. Then I couldn't find something else relatively inexpensive that I liked. Found this set about 2 weeks ago. We picked it up and DH put it together Saturday.

I lurve it. We had a bulky 6 seater, but I wanted something smaller. We don't have a dining room, but still never really use the table anyway! lol.

Now I need to get a new centerpiece for the table.

I'm so ready for Mardi Gras! I'm going to the Spanish Town parade tomorrow, with some friends since DH is still OOT for work. He will be there in spirit though...

This was from the last parade we went to I guess a couple years ago. He's klassy, huh? Fortunately, he came to his senses about facial hair.

Happy Valentine's Day

Still out of town visiting DH during the O time and conveniently V Day. Waiting for him to get back to the hotel from work today, bored out of my everloving mind, in the skimpies for a SURPRISE attack....which will not be so spontaneous since he will come in and then need to shower since he reeks after work. Picked up some rose petals to add a lil spice. I'm a dork! It's very tempting to open my gift since it's in 2 bags sitting right in front of me for the past couple of days. Can you tell what it is? I can't. I just got him some candy and a couple of DVDs. We're trying to save moola for future spawn. :) Anyway, don't be surprised if I write yet another blog today since I'm so incredibly bored. Leaving here tomorrow.

Merry Christmas

Christmas is almost over now but I wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to all! Here's to hoping this is our last Christmas alone and that we either have a little one in our arms or in the oven next year! ;P

At Christmas Eve at my aunt's house that was obviously the topic for discussion. My aunt got all glossy-eyed as the kids opened their gifts, looked at me and said "I wonder if there will be another baby to join us next year." Yes, we'll soon be working on it, but I certainly don't need the pressure-cooker conversations.
